Though the dogs are trained athletes, once they retire they are considered among the most affectionate, well behaved and intelligent pets. They don't bark continuously … they don't jump on you … they travel well … and in most cases the adoptable greyhounds are quite young (2-3 years old) with a life expectancy of 11 years.

There is a $210 donation fee when you adopt a greyhound. The fee covers spaying/neutering, etc.
